Axiom Rail Services is an FRA approved Training Organization. We specialize in railroad safety training and compliance. We begin with a free consultation where we learn about your operations. Next, we schedule an onsite audit and evaluation of your current practices and facility. Upon completion of the audit, we sit down with your team and discuss or findings, offer solutions and select a start date!

Because no two railroading operations are the same, it's not fair to set a one price fits all. One customer might be a class 2 short line with 30 miles of tracks and 8 locomotives. Another customer might be a transload operation with just 6 employees and a TrackMobile. This is why we always start with our free consultation to learn about your operations. Our Audits begin at $4999.00 which covers all travel, meals, lodging and most other overhead charges!

Almost all of our Audits are completed without any time lost or stoppage time and are completed the same day we arrive. It really depends on the size of your operations. A 900 car facility with 25 employees will take longer than a transload site with 15 cars.

Almost every rail operation that does interchanging of goods and railcars with the general transportation system falls under FRA jurisdiction. If you offer cars either loaded or empty, you are at a minimum subject to part 215 pre-departure inspection. This is why it's best to schedule a free consultation.

You are exempt if you switch cars that you own, and only inside the facility and the cars are for facility use only. Only the FRA decides when and where to exercise jurisdiction. Just because a former employee told you that your operations are exempt, doesn't make it true. It's best to ask us or reach out to the FRA.

Axiom comes from an outstanding pedigree. Once known as Railway Safety Consultants, Axiom has always been an FRA approved Training Organization / Learning Institution (TO/LI). It is required by Law that any TO/LI show you the approval letters issued by the FRA to carry out any regulated training. (Don't worry, we have ours and will show you)! Also consider that this is our specialty. We are not a construction company that sometimes does one off trainings " under the radar". We are not a diploma mill that allows workers to take online tests until they get it right without OJT. Training and compliance is our specialty.

Do you want your airline pilot to have had only online training? Didn't think so... Railroading is a craft that requires hands on learning and instructions. Falling asleep at the computer module and clicking a mouse is one thing. Lacing up air hoses between a live train is another. Don't cheat your workers. They are the ones that may pay with their life.

While we are able to host some classes in our facilities, it really is best that we come out to your site for a few reasons: You need to have an audit done prior to Axiom instructors beginning work at your site anyway. It's best to let your workforce train with the equipment they will be using daily. It's a much more cost-effective route for us to come to you.
